The Same Rain Doesn't Grow The Same Garden
We spend so much time comparing what fell from the sky...
That we forget to ask what was waiting in the soil.
When two people grow up in the same home and become completely different, we instinctively search for the moment everything changed.
Maybe one friendship.
One failure.
One success.
One decision.
We're convinced the answer must be somewhere outside them.
But walk through an orchard after the rain.
Every tree drank from the same clouds.
The water played no favourites.
Still, one branch bends beneath sweet fruit.
Another struggles to hold a single leaf.
Nature has been whispering something about us for a very long time.
Life gives.
The heart responds.
We often measure fairness by comparing opportunities.
Wisdom begins when we start paying attention to responses instead.
Perhaps the most important question isn't,
"What has life given me?"
It's,
"What has my heart been growing with everything it has already received?"
